Gundam! (Odaiba)

Walked about half an hour in the wrong direction... but hey I got a picture of this guy. That's something.

Can you see it?

So big

Ah... she doesn't care. Haha...

Jimbocho + Hanabi (Chofu)

Wandered around Jimbocho for about 3 hrs and took pictures

Creepy...

Jimbocho Theater

Lots of books in Jimbocho. Lots.

Hanabi in Chofu (12,000 fireworks) with See Jia (not pictured)

Yukatas

I didn't actually take any pictures of the fireworks because I was sitting very awkwardly on my Lonely Planet tour book mashed between a lot of people. But hey, just another reason to go back :]

Shoganai..

This is kind of a mishmash of snapshots I thought would be good to remember, but I wasn't sure how to group them together so I just kinda dumped them in one post. Shoganai.

Hiru-gohan! Always crowded around lunch time.

Last hiru-gohan at Sampuku. Seoyoung.

Orla's favorite kind of picture. Agus.

Sampuku's iron chef.. and Mama-san's son?

Sugoi atsui. Always.

Lunch at the small shrine

Hopelessly lost trying to find our way to the Toyo Ito lecture at Tokyo University. See Jia, Seoyoung, Darin, Jerry (l to r)

Sugoiii!

Awesome Saturday 07.11

Mori Building (KPF) (Roppongi Hills)

Junior Baton World Champion.. or something like that (Roppongi Hills)

Taiko! (Roppongi Hills)

National Art Center (Kisho Kurokawa) (Roppongi)

21_21 Museum (Ando Tadao, jp)

I ran into my boss Matsumura-san here checking out the building details. The Bones exhibit was pretty cool but really short so we didn't know what to do next. We decided to make a quick pitstop at Shinjuku to look for Japanese architecture books and...

RaM was playing again!

I had been going back and forth with them by email trying to figure out if I could hear them play again. I was pretty sure there was no chance so this was pretty friggin' lucky. They were just about to start their last song as I got there, and it happened to be one of my favorites from their album.

Takashi-san (Maezawa Takashi, jp)

Kentaro-san (Nogami Kentaro, jp)

Yuki-san (Nakamura Yuki, jp)

Risa-san (Nakamura Risa, jp)

Oh yeah, and I bought a book too. Awesome.

Kanagawa Institute of Technology (Ishigami)

Our fearless leader Okazaki-san leading the way after we took the wrong bus

Stephen's nato/tofu mash

Oh this is how I was supposed to get there?

Not so ready to go

We went into an adjacent building to try and see the roof of Ishigami's project. Dark, smelly, abandoned... pretty sure it was haunted.

Stephen has a thing for maturity. Mama-san's got competition.

Guys I need suggestions for my last few weeks in Japan! If you have any ideas for someplace in or near Tokyo let me know! I'll do my best to see it but time is running out! Any and all suggestions are welcome :0) -----Rex
